Meet Chef Brooke
Born and raised in Southern California, Brooke Webber enjoyed a career as a professional dancer before she became a chef; she began dancing at age two. Brooke's uncle was a professor at the French Culinary Institute in San Francisco, and her culinary adventures first took off in her uncle’s French-Asian fusion restaurant, Cafe Kati, where she apprenticed while attending dance school.
After graduating from Chapman University with a BFA in dance performance, Brooke choreographed dance for the stage and music videos. During this time, she also worked as a line cook. After an injury that ended her professional dance career, she started focusing on her love of cooking full-time. Before starting Munch Events, Brooke served as the Executive Chef for Rose Park Roasters, and before that worked as a sous chef at a number of restaurants, including 320 Main and Seva Detroit.

The Munch Story
Blindfolded dinner party, September 2019
Munch Events began in October 2017, when Chef Brooke began experimenting with creative dining experiences at The Hangout on 4th Street. Now, Munch Events hosts a monthly Supper Club at The Hangout, featuring unique concepts such as a Hook-inspired “Bang-a-rang” dinner and a Wild Game Night. She regularly appears at 4th Fridays on 4th Street with inspired snacks to fit the theme of the evening, and Munch has a pop-up cafe within The Hangout.
Drawing from her experience in theater, Brooke's specialty is creating memorable, one-of-a-kind culinary events for her clients. She believes food is about more than the physical act of eating; a thoughtful, exciting meal can transport you to a different part of the world, real or imaginary. Enjoying a thrilling meal with loved ones or strangers can remind us there are always new ways to explore. Chef Brooke's mission is to keep you inspired on the way to fullness. And with a focus on local, organic and sustainable cuisine, you'll leave feeling good.
Munch works with Long Beach makers and producers to create truly local Southern California fare. She’s available for private catering, and loves creating personalized dining experiences for individuals who want something a little outside of the «lunch» box.
Munch Events partners with other food & dining professionals, such as cocktail specialists, flower artists, and event designers, to create the most delightful sensory experience for your pop-up catering event.
